Apache 1.3 as a proxy server for TOMCAT 4.0

Hello everybody, i've just joined this mailing list and I have a little problem for configuring Apache 1.3 as a proxy server for Tomcat 4.0. I have already done what was suggested in TOMCAT documentation , part Proxy support How To but it does not work. I would appreciate if someone could help me to solve that little problem.
