I just wanted to let you know that JSTL in Action is finally shipping from
Amazon.com. It's been in bookstores for a week or so, but because of
Amazon's discounts, I wanted to wait until they had it before notifying
this list. (They sell JSTL in Action for $27.97.)

Amazon's URL for the book is

  http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1930110529

As a reminder, JSTL in Action is a book about the new JSP Standard Tag
Library. It's intended, like the JSTL standard itself, for both
programmers and nonprogrammers: it covers in detail all JSTL tags, useful
patterns and examples, the expression language (EL), and the JSTL API.

It includes lots of examples, from surveys to message boards to online
portals, all without any scriptlets in your JSP pages.

The book's been doing well so far, and it's received great reviews. For
instance, JavaRanch.com said

The words "in action" in the book's title aren't just words, it is a
methodological principle. The discussion concentrates on practice rather
  than theory and specifications . . .

And if all this is not enough, then you should know: there are jokes
scattered throughout the book, so you do not want to skip pages [so as]
  not to miss one!

See http://www.manning.com/bayern for more info.

Please let me know if you've got any questions or feedback; I'm always
happy to answer questions about the book or JSTL in general.
