Hi all, Hanno Eichelberger actually already implemented this in WikiWizard 2.0, which is pure JavaScript. Learn more about it on www.wikiwizard.org. Actually, I planned a big announcement on this mailinglist, but now I am droping it as a sidenode, because I have nobody who would take this project further. Volunteers are welcome, please take the code and make something out of it. I don't have time for this anymore. For questions on the code, please contact Hanno...
You can see the editor in action at the http://www.wikiwizard.org/wiki/Sandbox -> just try to edit the page. (The dropdown function however throws an error there, but works fine for me internally...)
