I am not actually Java developer, and have no time for JIRA :)
I just have a task to fix this bug, because we use JSPWiki.
It's much more easier for me just to say which file and which line
should
you change :)
Just be warned: we are likely to ignore your fixes in that case.
Because it is difficult for us when we have to guess what you mean,
or what the problem even is, and, at least with my email load things
from my inbox tend to be forgotten pretty soon.
Please learn how to use patch tools. They are very easy to use in
e.g. Eclipse - just use the "Team -> Create patch" menu. They will
make your life a lot easier in the future!
You should also report any issues you find to the issue reporting
system (JIRA). We get enough contributions that it is difficult to
keep track of all of them. So you should put it in the JIRA, if you
want to make sure that it ends up in the system.
(There are also some legal issues involved - if your patch is big,
you need to put it in the JIRA to make sure that ASF gets the
copyright.)
