Bulleted List is displayed wrong

If you write text between 2 entries of a bulleted list, the list is displayed
wrong. For example
* level 1
** level 2
some text between
** should also be level 2
causes the last line to be displayed with level 1 AND level 2 bullets. (works
both on 2.6.2 and sandbox.jspwiki.org - 2.8.0-beta-1).
If you add another ** level 2 entry you get bold text between ** and ** instead
of list entries (on 2.6.2, doesn't work on sandbox)
