Stripes brings in far more than just getting rid of the code in JSPs. The
Stripes architecture is clean, Java 5 all the way, and it simplifies out a lot
of crap we have currently in the system thanks to using "just JSP". The
ActionBeans make it very, very simple to extend JSPWiki in the future as well.
This is a change which was discussed on the mailing lists I think even prior to
coming to ASF... Andrew has an implementation ready as well - but he can
probably tell more why exactly Stripes.
