Dirk Frederickx commented on JSPWIKI-460:
-----------------------------------------

Nicola,

What I suggested requires of course still some changes to the handling of a
*new* $timestamp variable. It just suggest a different syntax to set that
variable.

What you proposed does not work: you can not invoke plugins a plugin parameter
values.

> Hi,
> i would like to add a current time stamp to the wikivariables to use it in
> different plugins (f.e Formhandler).
> Input:
> Call with [{$identifier=time format}]
> f.e. [{$timestamp=yyyyMMdd}]
> Output:
> 20081219
> Explanation:
> 1. "timestamp" as identifier for the variable
> 2. after the "=" come the "time format". (Examples: yy-MM-dd hh:mm,
> yyyy.MM.dd)
> Exception: if the "time format" is null or wrong, a message appears.
> The changes would be made in the VariablesManager.java. I have the code ready
> and tested.
> Question: How can I achieve Commitrights?
