Wildcards in search argument not compatible with "show details" on search page

The option "show details" on the search page allows to have a preview on the
occurence of the search argument in the pages found.
If a wildcard "*" is entered in the search argument, the checkbox "show
details" has no effect.
It seems that the wildcard and the "show details" mode are not compatible.
This behaviour can be observed in the jspwiki.org site, e.g. compare the output
of these two pages (with "show details" active) :
