Dirk Frederickx commented on JSPWIKI-622:
-----------------------------------------

Stefan,

Your point on the "source-button" made me think of an alternative. Let's
integrate a wysiwyg editor inside the plain editor.
That shouldn't be to hard...

That way the user doesn't have to make a choice between using wysiwyg or
markup, but can switch at all times during edit.

1)
The plain editor would start e.g. in markup mode, allowing to insert markup and
have live-preview showing the real looks.

2)
When switching to wysiwyg via a toolbar button, the user would have a simple
wysiwyg editor, with live-preview showing wiki-markup
(? is this useful)

Still, this looks very much like a v3.1 feature ;-)

> If you have installed FCKEditor, you only can switch between editors by going
> to user preferences. You might want to use different editors in different
> situations (e.g. plain editor for complicated tables).
> There should be a drop out menu in the Edit button, like for the More button
