I do not get results from quicksearch however (also the case before this patch).
The JS console shows:

Refused to set unsafe header "Connection"
Class.send
XHR.extend.request
Wiki.jsonrpc jspwiki-common.js:1
SearchBox.ajaxQuickSearch jspwiki-common.js:1
returns
{noformat}
Maybe that should be a new JIRA issue ?
