Hi Harry: Dropped the war in - this is what the simple set of instructions said to do. I will try the other approach now.
I found another another gotcha for newbies which I resolved via google, was that there is a clash between the jars for common-logging-api and log4j distributed with JSPWiki and the ones for Tomcat. Anyway I will let you know how I get on.
