When you do changes to a certain page, directly from file system, does the Lucene indexes get updated? i.e.: Does search results change, reflecting new changes?

I do it all the time. Just create the page content with the wiki source syntax (or good old html if your wiki has html enabled). Copy the page into the wiki content dir. You can modify an existing page or create new pages this way. If you create a new page, be sure the file name starts with an upper case letter and ends with ".txt". this is required because of a flaw in the wiki. The wiki recognizes the changes immediately. You may want to make it clear in the source code comments and the page content that the page is automatically generated from an external source. Your colleagues may become annoyed if their changes disappear. :) Regards, -Frank
