The site is checked into SVN.
I usually build the site as part of the build and then copy it onto the SVN
project I have checked out. This so I can put the javadocs etc in the right
place. When it all looks good, I commit and then do svn up on
people.apache.org. Then it takes a few hours before it is live on all the
servers.
