Hi Jon,

The juddi-portal = juddi-tomcat + pluto based console. Either bundle is preconfigured to run on embedded derby. All you have to do is run startup.sh. Once you are this far you can try switching the database. Check out chapter 3 of http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/webservices/juddi/branches/v3_trunk/docs/.

Hope this helps,

Hello,

I'm working on Mac Leopard, and having a hard time to get all the information to get juddi running.
I downloaded juddi-portal-bundle-3.0.0.beta and juddi-tomcat-3.0.0.beta.
What is the difference between them ? I understand they are tomcat 5.5.23 plus the the things necessary for juddi ?
If i run startup.sh in either of them localhost/8080 doesn't answer.
If i run startup.sh of tomcat v6 that I downloaded from Apache there is response in localhost/8080, it works ok. I want o use it with MySQL. I had to go to version 0.9 to get the sql scripts, are those still the good ones ?
What DB name should I create ? juddi, juddiv3 ? Any special user/passw ?
I read some history in mailing list and some refer to gettingStarted.pdf, where is it ?

Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
