I must admit that I don't know to what you are referring, so I have no idea if you mean something that happens above the tree or is done within the tree. If within, "no reason" seems to ignore my previous email about the time and space swamping effects of adding locking within the tree. I suppose that Judy might still perform "well enough, and better than most/all competitors under the same circumstances," but I'm pretty sure you'd see a huge performance loss (multiple times, like 3X or 5X).
