Technically 1.0.5 is the newest version. The only real difference
between 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 is that 1.0.5 contains a fix for a couple
debian specific build issues. If I remember correctly I was waiting
for something and I was going to upload 1.0.6 to both sourceforge  and
debian/ubuntu, but that obviously didn't happen.

The short answer is that if you are running a debian derivative just
apt-get install it and you will be good to go. If not 1.0.4 is pretty
much the same thing. 

I'll re-sync with Doug and see if he remembers what we planed for
1.0.6.
