ATM at the branch that I touched its already JPA neutral. The only problem is the JPA standard itself is incomplete. Its not that easy to declare mapping by annotation and still be performant. For example. We can't declare this field to be indexed via standard JPA annotation. Anyway, the work is being freeze ATM due to other commitment.
