At this point we believe that either the peergrouper worker or the instance poller as issuing and update and overwriting the agent.conf I investigated the peergrouper worker potentially overwriting the agent.conf changes. My testing and debugging didn't find anywhere that we were out putting a bad agent.conf, but I'm not confident that I didn't miss something as today is the first time I've spent any real time with this area of the code.
