As well as the user visible things like the great new status output and rename
of service to application etc, beta 9 contains a lot of below the waterline
changes geared towards our future feature work. We should start to see the
benefit of that work in the next beta and upcoming release candidates.

There's also more to come on the usability front. We'll soon have a nice
interactive bootstrap experience which will guide users through the steps of
getting a controller up and running, and we're continuing the efforts to improve
error messages, CLI help, and other user facing text.
