Hi Jiahao! Awesome piece, thanks for that! I was wondering about the differences between the spectrum you posted for 380--780 nm and what I'd expect (see attached image - taken from figure 1 page 31 in the manual for the LaTeX package xcolor v2.11). Doing this:
xyz = colormatch(wl) rgb = convert(RGB,xyz) for a whole bunch of wl results in the same spectrum as you did. Is the reason this doesn't work due to "any XYZ(X,Y,Z) for sufficiently positive (X,Y,Z) will render as white"? Do you know how I can simply get the CIE rgb values for a bunch of wavelengths?
