Sounds like a bug; I'll be curious to find out what platform you're on. But don't do it here: please file an issue (see https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#how-to-file-a-bug-report).
Also note that there were some recent improvements in the ability to distinguish user-code and base (https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/pull/9581 ), but they're not available in 0.3 yet.
