Hello, I am very new to Julia and trying to learn how to do some very basic linear algebra in parallel.
As a simple example I wanted to be able to define a dense matrix in parallel and then multiply it to a vector. I have seen how this works in mpi4py at the following tutorial http://mpi4py.scipy.org/docs/usrman/tutorial.html and am wondering how this can be accomplished in julia. I did find a number of posts that discussed how to do this with sparse matrices, which seems more complicated than it should be. I did read about distributed arrays and that seems like it should be able to do something along these lines but I didn't seen any examples and am unsure of the syntax. Is this the best direction to go or is there something else I should be looking into? I am sorry for asking such a simple question but would appreciate any assistance. Cheers, Francis
