This particular ambiguity is something that we might want to simply 
disallow in the parser by requiring a space.  Issue filed for discussion:

In general, Julia's syntax is whitespace-sensitive by design in a number of 
contexts, but there are many possibilities to improve the handling of 
ambiguities.
