Hi, With jre 7 OpenJUMP r3326 does not change directory when it is written into the file name line in the File open dialogue - see attached image. With jre 1.6 directory is changed. Tested with Oracle jre 1.6.0_33(x86) and jre 1.7.0_17(x86) on Windows 7.
