I'm now using IntelliJ IDEA (community edition). Code completion is very 
efficient
and I find it more intuitive than Eclipse.
My OpenJUMP project is based on maven, but I just use the run menu item
to test my last changes (seems to use pom project definition for that) and
I've not yet tried more advanced options of maven.
Indeed, I dont't know how to build with parameters from the UI
(and parameters in the pom are underlined as errors in the text area).
