Hi, I use ogr2ogr command line utility for vectors and gdalwarp or gdal_translate for rasters. Both are using proj4 projection library with hundreds of projections and for my mind the utilities are very fast and reliable. They support also tens of different vector and raster formats and I have received great support from community and developers.
