Hi Ravi,
I'm not sure if there is a good reason to make those attribute types
available
in the user interface, but :
Geometry looks like other attributes (you can change the attribute name
for example)
but with special constraints : geometry attribute is generally
mandatory, and it
is not authorized to have more than one Geometry attribute in a schema :
if you try two add a second geometry attribute through the feature
schema interface,
a message will warn use it is undoable.
Object type is not so useful for jump users as long as the application
do not know exactly
what type of information is contained in the attribute, but it can be
used by a developper to
extend the application capability. For example, you can imagine a plugin
who test the real
nature of the object contained in an Object-type attribute, and if it is
an URL object,
allow the user to clic on the url and open the browser...

Please let me know
1. In a layer we can add another geometry column, by just assigning
GEOMETRY as field to any attribute.. HOW DOES THIS HELP..
Any examples??
