For the next release I have added a better warning message rather than
the exception.
I was wondering if you could try something for me. If you create a new
project and right click on the working folder in the left panel you
will see a | icon with Load Dataset. Can you select that and then
select SDE Query as the format and enter in the same parameters to see
if you get an error there.
