Dear Arnd
Scaling is not possible. The assumption I made is that the size of the
legends etc was generally OK when printed on paper at the correct
scale. For PDF images that may cause a problem if the original image is
larger than that available paper on your printer and you then must scale
the image to fit.
The only real solution is to prepare the image on the correct sized
paper before saving it.
