Hi,
I am afraid that you can not save a layer
to a PostGIS table with "Save Selected Datasets".
Please use "Save Dataset As..."
and choose the format "PostGIS Table"
to save your layer back to PostGIS.

2. With the right mouse button SET editable the selected dataset.
3. I used the "Move Vertex Tool".
4. And clicked "Save Selected Datasets" in popup menu.
5. Even then I saw the status bar: "Error: see output window"
whereabout was the
"SaveDatasetsPlugIn Exception:java.lang.NullPointerException"
message.
In the PostgreSQL log I don't see anything which help for me.
And now...?
