Hi Alexander, I ran into the same problem with our M7i. Juniper ended up replacing our RE as they suspected hardware failure. However, after a couple reboots, the hard drive was detected.
Since you appear to have a CF card installed, you can run without the hard drive. Thus, you should be able to remain operational until the RE, or hard disk is replaced. --John Alexander Serkin wrote: > Hi, > Recently our m7i lost its hard disk - it is present in setup, but while > booting the device is not detected: > > Automatic reboot in progress... > /dev/ad0s1a: FILESYSTEM CLEAN; SKIPPING CHECKS > /dev/ad0s1a: clean, 393048 free /dev/ad0s1e: FILESYSTEM CLEAN; SKIPPING > CHECKS > /dev/ad0s1e: clean, 49144 free (48 frags, 49125 blocks, 0.0% fragmentation) > (8 frags, 6142 blocks, 0.0% fragmentation) > (48 frags, 49125 blocks, 0.0% fragmentation) > mfs: /dev/ad1s1b: Device not configured > /dev/ad1s1f: CAN'T CHECK FILE SYSTEM. > /dev/ad1s1f: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY. > Can't open /dev/ad1s1f: Device not configured > WARNING: > WARNING: /var mount failed, building emergency /var > WARNING: > > are there any possible passes to recover the system, or we need to > change hard drive? > > Is it possible to run system without hard drive temporary and where can > i find some docs about this? > > thanks, _______________________________________________ juniper-nsp mailing list juniper-nsp@puck.nether.net https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/juniper-nsp
