If you want to use MLPPP,CRTP etc MS PIC should be running the Layer 2 link service package.
To determine which package a MS PIC supports, issue the show chassis pic fpc-slot slot-number pic-slot slot-number command. The Package field displays the value Layer-2 or Layer-3. To enable a service package, include the service-package statement at the [edit chassis fpc slot-number pic pic-number adaptive-services] hierarchy level, and specify layer-2 or layer-3 Note: You enable service packages per PIC, not per port.
