So I noticed something interesting about NSR, apparently it doesn't

It just sits and spins forever trying to bring up the BGP sync session
between the master and backup RE, and turning off inetflow negotiation
makes things work properly again. This was under 9.5 and 9.6, but I
haven't seen anything in any release notes about support for it in any
later software versions. Does anybody know if this is actually on the
roadmap to get supported, or has flowspec just completely fallen off the
radar since Pedro and Raszuk left Juniper? :)

confirmed and very, very annoying. I've filed this as a bug over a year ago when my MBGP sessions broke in NSR on the backup RE - apparently, it was always broken and not working properly when using flowspec, and incorrectly displayed everything was fine (it didn't flap the sessions then). Somewhere in 9.4 or 9.5 they started dropping the sessions on the backup re.

Now we need to run twin loopbacks with two sessions, one for the NSR-supported SAFIs, and another just for flowspec - otherwise NSR obviously fails for all SAFIs. Plus the logfiles on the backup RE get messed up by the constant BGP flapping :(

Kind regards,

Felix
