Check wether you have enough RAM - you might be thrashing into swapspace. I remember seeing that effect on M5/M10 once. show system processes summary: Mem: 136M Active, 228M Inact, 41M Wired, 406M Cache, 69M Buf, 685M Free Swap: 2048M Total, 2048M Free This M7i is definately not swapping (Swap Total=Free). On shell, you could check "vmstat -w 1" wether you have much disk I/O ("pi"/"po" columns - page in/out).
