Not sure how *easy* it is to modify any of it, but, there's gotta be a way
once you get into the shell :)  Maybe something to do with some sort of
"OEM modifications" or similar possibly.  IDK.  But you have root on the
box, it is FreeBSD, and I don't think there's any RBAC/MLS stuff preventing
you from doing whatever you want to as root....so as long as you don't muck
with the boot stuff you should be able to do it.

So there might possibly be shenanigans (like doing a remount in rc.local)
to get it done, IDK, but there's very little preventing you from doing it.
 Just make sure you document it for your own sake in case an upgrade undoes
anything you do.
