Can anybody share with me
(on or off list) some configuration templates for setting up prefix
filters such as maximum prefix count, filtering bogons and martians
etc, max AS path length?

I don't agree with everything thats in there (dampening for example) but
it's a start. It's also pretty old but syntax is syntax.
