I'm not sure - how do you see that file descriptors are leaking? Do you have any clues where they might be leaking from?
Is it possible you started to see this following an upgrade of pyzmq/tornado? AIUI, Min has switched over from a custom poller that needs to be installed in the event loop to using the edge-triggered fds to integrate with any any event loop. Maybe something we're doing with that means those fds aren't being cleaned up?
