Hi John. I don't suspect notebook-http mode is frequently used and its original creators are no longer active in the repository - although I suppose there's a chance they may respond to issues. The repository is minimally maintained at the moment and even that could probably use some improvements. (I am one of the current "maintainers", so I apologize.). I suggest you open an issue in hopes you get a response.
