As all are giving their current state, I want to do that for Groovy too...
The most recent release will be 1.5.6, with release date today. This is mostly a maintenance release for the 1.5.x line, since 1.5.5 we have a much faster compiler, the eclipse plugin is already using 1.5.5 they are very happy about that. The 1.5.x line will be kept till after a final 1.6 is released, the first beta of 1.6 is done next week right before the JavaOne. 1.5 contains as major points, performance improvements by using call site caching. We have added an experimental feature that allows to transform the AST at runtime and last but not least it will now be possible to define annotations in Groovy (they can then be used from Java or Groovy). Downloads can be found at http://groovy.codehaus.org/Download of course each release usually contains a number of bug fixes... 1.5.6 for example will contain around 35 fixes, even though it is released only one week after 1.5.5. bye blackdrag -- Jochen "blackdrag" Theodorou The Groovy Project Tech Lead (http://groovy.codehaus.org) http://blackdragsview.blogspot.com/ http://www.g2one.com/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JVM Languages" group.
