He was referring to Smalltalk-esque "save image" where you basically
save the full state of your JVM - classes, threads, objects; and
subsequently reload that in a new JVM without reinitializing
anything, just carrying on from the savepoint.
I was indeed thinking of smalltalk here first. I think when I did read
Remi's mail I thought... since when did Java go smalltalk? And then I
read it and was a bit disappointed.
