Are the users requesting the specific JACOBIE branch release, or do they want a new jwebunit release?
Most of the requests are for the JACOBIE enabled version of jwebunit. Since the branch hasn't been merged to the HEAD, we need to see about make an alpha version of jwebunit from the jacobie branch.
I haven't had much time to spend on it, but if we could get a generic
release that would ease the pain later. What type of release were you
thinking. Using Maven?
I still need to commit some additional stuff ---jacobie-alpha1.jarOk, just go ahead. Is this in jacobie.sf.net or in jwebunit JACOBIE branch? Just wanting to know.
---how-to documentation
---example test case showing usage of jacobie with jwebunit.
I think we can do the following:Both should be easy to perform. Just say the word and I'll create one. I don't think HEAD has enough body to be released yet. I think we should upgrade the libraries to newer versions, perform the patches from SF.net trackers before we release 1.3.
- create an alpha release of the Jacobie integration from your branch, and put it on sourceforge
- go ahead with 1.3 jwebunit, and if jacobie is working (good enough) integrate it in either 1.3 or 1.4
There's no need to postpone Jacobie integration until 2.0 or some later version. When it's done, it's done. Integrate often and early is something I like very much.
