Hi Nick,

I'm French, and I studied in an engineer school at Toulouse. The specialty of this school is of course computer sciences. My studies are now finished, and I do my internship at Nice (next to Italy). The subject of my internship is : how to set up functional and non regression testing of a web app. That's why I discovered HttpUnit, HtmlUnit, jWebUnit, Selenium and others, and I began to write a comparative of each solution. jWebUnit was for me the best headless solution, and Selenium the most promising solution for "in-browser" testing. But the web app I have to write test for use a lot of not well written Javascript, and HttpUnit could not handle it but HtmlUnit could. So I decided to write HtmlUnitDialog. In the same time, I worked on Maven migration for the project I worked on, and that's why I tried to migrate jWebUnit to Maven 2.

If I find the time, I would like to write a SeleniumDialog for jWebUnit. Objective is to have the best unified API to write test (jWebUnit), and have the choice between different implementations.

I hope to meet you again on jWebUnit-devel.

Hi,

I will try to sum up what I did the last 3 days.

Move project to Maven 2 :
  - create directory layout
  - move files to the correct place
  - create pom.xml
  - create private repository for lib that are not on ibilio
  - make jwebunit + httpunit dialog tests working with Maven

Thank you very much for your contribution to the project!!! This project has alot of coverage in the testing community, but its a bit lacking some dev support. I am the author of the jacobie plugin and integrated it into jwebunit about a year ago. I have been so busy the last year I haven't had much chance to contrib in a while. At the least, I try an reply to users on the mailing list.

Glad to see you helping. Where are you from? I'm from the Saint Louis, MO area. See ya later.
