Hi,
Fit is a framework for intended writing functional tests by Ward
Cunningham. You write test fixtures that exercise your code, and the
test-writers create html tables that manipulate the test fixtures via
commands and checks.
Fitnesse is basically a wiki that is integrated with fit. The idea here is
usually that developers, analysts, users etc. can access the tests on the
wiki and view / manipulate / run them. Since it's a wiki, things like
screenshots and text can be mixed in between the tabular test scripts, so
you could create a page that both describes the requirements for a features
and provides the scipts that show the feature works / doesn't work.
jWebFit is a set of adapter classes that let you test a web application
through fit scripts. Basically a different UI for jWebUnit - same API but
instead of java code tests you have fit tabular scripts that can be
embedded in a wiki.
