Hi Sandor,

The JXplorer project is going to be around for a long time, firstly because it is open source and widely used, and secondly because it is implicitly backed by Computer Associates as the client for their directory product 'eTrust Directory'. So there is no problem there :-).

As to support, it depends a little on what you mean. There are a number of active mailing lists - jxplorer- [EMAIL PROTECTED] and jxplorer-devel@lists.sourceforge.net - where you can ask questions (and review the archival postings!). Generally questions are answered within a day or so by the developers or the user community. I encourage you subscribe to these mailing lists, and catch up on the old postings.

If you want formal, guaranteed support, then I'm quite happy to write you a paid support contract, but you probably don't need it unless you have unusual requirements - the client is reasonably stable and straight forward to use.

The 3.2 version of JXplorer is currently in it's second beta; JX3.2b2 - despite the name 'beta' it is quite stable; only the new features (mainly kerberos support) are 'beta', the bulk of the client is unchanged, and there are some minor bug fixes. The final 3.2 version will be released 'when it is ready', but at the moment we're not rushing, because the 'beta' versions are so stable.

hope this helps, and let me know if you want a formal support contract :-).

   cheers,

        Chris

Hi Chris,

I'm an employee of Ericsson Hungary Ltd., we has integrated JXplorer in our
server platform product what we will be release soon.

My question would be how long the Jxplorer 3.1 version will be supported?

Will You support it for the next 6 months at least?

Do you have plan(s) for the next release(s) (e.g. 3.2 ...), when will You release it?

Thanks a lot for the info and Your help in advance!

Regards,
/Sandor
