I think I mentioned it was on a Samsung Galaxy S3 but I know I didn't list the
others so here they are.

K9 version--5.001
Android--4.4.2
Device --Samsung Galaxy S3

Since there was no immediate response to the issue I kept trying different
things. Adding another account also had problems retrieving email.
So next, I deleted my email accounts, but did not uninstall K9.
Then I re-added my main account and it started working again.
I also re-added the second account I had tried before and it started working
again too.

So for now, I am relieved that I now have mobile access to my emails but I'd
still like to understand why K9 suddenly decided not to show any new emails.

Thank you for your reply,
Cindy

What version of K-9 are you running?
What version of Android?
What device?

It actually sounds like a problem outside of K-9 altogether. If you can, export
your settings and back them up somewhere. It may be helpful to (I hate to say
this) uninstall and re-install K-9.
