Currently you can delete them (POP) but this is a global setting.

It is useful, when travelling, to got rid of spam and such there and then. 
So how about having a configurable option so that the dustbin symbol 
prompts if you want to delete from the server also?

I have had apps previously which did that, on Symbian and Windows, but 
don't know of any for Android or IOS.
