There's a new UI behavior where, after archiving a message, the next message fades in. I get a lot of emails and I can usually quickly tell if I want to archive a message or read it, much faster than the fade animation. I used to be able to fly through my emails in K-9 without accidentally doing the wrong thing, but now it feels like I'm wading through tar and I zone out and start making mistakes. I suggest the fade be removed completely or, if there's an actual functional purpose to them, then I propose this effect be part of the "gaudy visual effects" option.
