Yes, I have the same. K-9 was reporting north of 3.5GB, and if I compressed the folders, it cam back and told me that the size was exactly the same.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and K-9 now reports about 400MB. It's not acceptable. I've just upgraded to 5.206 but that doesn't seem to have changed anything.
