The same problem here.

I set "delete messages on server" in K-9.

But even when I delete the whole folder "trash" all messages are still on the
server while they are gone in K-9.

This leads to server storage warnings time after time.

Then I have to login via a web interface and manually delete all those messages
again.

Why doesn't K-9 really delete those messages on the server as I told it to do?

Betreff: Re: [k-9-mail] Deletion Settings - Expunge

I'm having basically the same issue here, though it's not with Gmail.
I have my Spectrum (RoadRunner) account running through K-9 Mail.
Synching folder movements is slow, but is completed except for the messages in
the trash folder.
On K-9 Mail, when messages are deleted, they are not deleted on the server.
This requires me to have to log on to my RR appointment and delete them there
also.

Is there a remedy?
