Subject: New EFS Articles

Hi everyone! Just in time for the back-to-school season,
EasyFunSchool.com is back up and running. This has taken me longer than I
could have predicted due to phone line problems and learning new
programming. Oh well ... you live, you learn.

You'll see a slightly different format at the website that accomodates
the new hosting system. You'll also notice that the old and slow
"article archive" is gone. Its being replaced by a subject index that
better reflects the needs of site users. Right now the subject index is
limited, but will expand a great deal in the next couple of weeks as I
become more familiar with the new coding system, etc.

In addition to the new timeline feature that I have
going (http://www.easyfunschool.com/timeline.html) I have four addtional
articles for you:

Suggested Reading For History
http://www.easyfunschool.com/SRHistory.html
This is a list of suggested reading and resources divided up by approximate
historical period. This list will be updated and modified on a regular
basis. Books on this list include commentaries, "living books,"
biographies, autobiographies, videos, audiotapes, resources, and some
pieces of historical fiction that I've found useful in my own family's
studies.

Louisiana -- A State Unit Study
http://www.easyfunschool.com/Louisiana.html
This mini unit on LOUISIANA uses the cross curricular approach to
education.
There are several activities from different academic subjects for you to
choose from. One of the most important things is to have fun!

Keeping Wild Things Wild (nature studies)
http://www.easyfunschool.com/WildThingsWild.html
Not everyone will agree with me on this, but .... One of the first things
we have to understand is that wild animals are just that . WILD! They
aren't meant to be pets, no matter how cute some of them might be. People
sometimes try and save a baby animal that they find by raising them as
pets. This is definitely not a good idea.

Fun Food: French Toast Breakfast Muffins
http://www.easyfunschool.com/funfoodFTBM.html
My kids and I made these muffins just because they sounded fun. Wow!
Cooking them wasn't the only fun part, they were delicious!! The cinnamon
sugar topping flavors them perfectly.

Thanks to everyone for being such troopers through all of this. I
can't tell you how much I've appreciated the personal emails of
encouragement.
